Each gemstone has its own color, vibration and qualities. The rose quartz meaning and associations are far different from any other gemstone, even those with similar colors and qualities. While all stones of a similar color do have things in common, each one has its own special properties.

Our life force, or “chi,” can be greatly affected by gemstones which each have this same energy within them. The colors of the stones help indicate how they might affect a person’s chi and even the location of the Human Assemblage Point, as well as the conditions of all the body’s chakras. Using the correct gemstones to help align the chakras and keep from putting the Assemblage Point out of alignment can help promote better health.

The rose quartz meaning is typically associated with love and matters of the heart. That’s because this gemstone is a pinkish color, and that’s associated with the heart chakra. The heart chakra is a spot of energy in the center of your chest. Think of it as a tunnel, almost like a swirling tornado of energy, that goes from the front of the center of your chest all the way through to a point on your back. The energies that have to do with the emotions, the heart and the soul are centered here.

Physical health of the heart and the circulatory system, as well as the immune system, lungs and all the functions that take place in the chest area are affected by this chakra. Its colors are green and pink, which make rose quartz and jade are excellent gemstones to use to promote a clear, balanced heart chakra.

Someone who has problems with personal intimacy, like someone afraid of or unwilling to accept hugs, can indicate a blocked heart chakra, as can any of the physical problems that are centered in this area. The use of rose quartz can help with these issues and ailments. People who use gemstones for healing and to help shore up certain areas where they feel weak might use rose quartz for intimacy problems, and the ability to give and accept love.

Someone who wasn’t hugged often as a child or felt a sense of emotional abandonment as a child or adult, for instance, might benefit from wearing rose quartz on a pendant that hangs to the center of the chest.  A rose quartz can also simply be placed there for a time each day in order to help clear the heart chakra and promote emotional and physical healing.
